Chiropractic care is a holistic approach that uses conservative, non-pharmaceutical and non-surgical methods to positively impact your overall health. Chiropractic care focuses on the spine and other joints of the body, the nervous system, and the overall health of the patient. Adjustments given by your chiropractor on your spine reduce stress on your nervous system, enhance the communication between the brain & your body, thus improving your health.

 To gain admission to chiropractic programs, one must complete a Bachelor's degree, including undergraduate studies of biology, chemistry, anatomy and physiology classes. 

The chiropractic education takes between 3 and 4 years (with a total of 4200 instructional hours). The chiropractic curriculum includes basic sciences like anatomy, physiology, and microbiology, as well as clinical sciences like chiropractic techniques, pathology, and clinical procedures. The chiropractic student must pass National Board Exams and any state licensing exams prior to gaining their license to practice chiropractic. 

Women (and men) will be asked to change into a gown during their chiropractic exam and adjustments. This allows for a clear view and access to the spine. Gonstead analysis involves a thorough visual inspection of the spine, including skin changes like swelling, redness, or curvature, which can indicate areas of concern. The gown also allows access to the skin along the spine to utilize the Nervoscope (or Delta T). The Nervoscope (or Delta T), a heat-sensitive instrument, is used to detect temperature differences along the spine, indicating inflammation and nerve irritation. This instrument requires direct skin contact for accurate readings. 

As much as we would love to say a simple, single adjustment will “fix” all of your problems, that is just not how our body, or our neurology works! The frequency of your chiropractic visits will be determined once the results of your initial visit are rendered. Everyone’s needs are different based on health history, goals, and your lifestyle.

Our practice is focused on providing personalized care without the complexities of insurance billing. Pediatric, Prenatal and Family Chiropractic of Wisconsin currently does not currently accept insurance, therefore we are not able to accept Medicare, Medicaid, active Worker’s Compensation or active Personal Injury cases for chiropractic services.  

We are considered an out-of-network provider. Being an out-of-network provider simply means a provider hasn’t signed a contract obliging them to the restrictions of the insurance company. Why this can be beneficial to you, is that we are not constrained to the number of visits a year, or the pre-set fee. The fee is often set nation-wide, and is typically higher than our average price per adjustment. We also perform many complimentary procedures in office that if contracted, we would be forced to charge you for.

We accept credit card, cash, and checks. We also accept HSA/FSA debit cards when allowed by your health insurance plan. 

 Most often, YES! Although each HSA/FSA can have their own specific rules, you should check with your private health insurance company for details on your plan. 

n our experience, 100% of insurance companies have this clause and it is the #1 restriction on your care while using your insurance. Those are phrases that control the reason you’re able to seek chiropractic care. It means that in order for insurance to consider coverage, there must be a muscle or bone problem causing pain. That means that conditions we often see patients for like: asthma, ADHD, autism, acid reflux, anxiety, ear infections, chronic immune deficiency, sensory processing disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, constipation, and many many others, are not a covered service under your insurance.
